- Identify, define and agree upon specific learning objectives and areas of focus for the coaching engagement
- Agree upon the overall coaching process; specify responsibilities of key stakeholders (leader and leader's manager); clarify expectations and measures of success
- Create personal coaching plan that outlines key actions for agreed-upon focus areas and describes the desired/expected behavior change

- Create self-discovery and sharpen self-awareness by reflecting on personality, cognitive style, behavior, work style preferences, interpersonal relationships; utilizing assessments such as myers-briggs®, firo-b®, thomas kilmann conflict mode

- One-on-one coaching meetings
- Practice new behaviors, debrief results and key learning
- Prepare leader to be able to appropriately solicit feedback through tactful inquiry of key stakeholders, peers and work colleagues
- Solicit feedback from leader’s manager on noticeable behavior change
